Flying

(this was one of my earlier poems, I was still learning how to write poetry)

The wind felt good, as I glided through the air
Gliding through the air like a bird with no care
The sky is so blue, with only one cloud below me there
And I wondered how I looked, flying up here in the air
The people down there, look like bugs on the ground
And houses look like toadstools, sitting all around
The valleys look like chunks, taken out of a sphere
And the trees look like a blanket, to keep out the cold air
But the jets are things you look for and watch out
Because if you don't you just might pass out
So gliding so fast and speedy up there
Isn't as easy as growing your hair
It's true you most likely won't get hit with turds
But you have to watch out for jets and bigger birds
So if you decide to go flying up in the air
Remember the things I have told you here
Having fun flying up there, has it's advantages
But remember that there will also be disadvantages
And you will have to put off all toil and strife
Because that's the way it always is in life
