The Politician Man

Dedicated to Jesse Page. After his election to school board office

Well how do you feel, mister politician man
You ought to feel yourself rather lucky and grand
You won the election, by a landslide
And I'm proud that I was on your side
The other opponents just didn't have the spirit
But you sure did and everyone could really hear it
You're now in the office, so how does it feel?
To know that you've finally, become a big wheel?
But don't forget those who helped you get here
Who helped with the signs that hung everywhere
And that fabulous speech that you gave one night
That took many long hours to make it just right
So don't forget all those who gave of their time
And for what??? I will tell you in just one line
They all loved you!!!
